At Forestview, my goal is to give each of my patients exceptional, personalized care, and to guide them along their path to a smile they can be proud of. My patients and I are a team, and together, we’ll create a plan that works for you. I’ve worked diligently to gain the knowledge and experience that inspires confidence in my patients, and I use modern techniques and technology to achieve predictable results. I know you want the best for your oral health, and I want to be your trusted partner for years to come. After a decade away, I’m grateful to be back in my home state and to continue the great legacy of Forestview Family Dentistry!
I grew up in Eagan, MN, and graduated from St. Olaf College, where I played 4 years of football (Go Oles!). I then received a scholarship to dental school through the US Army and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Immediately after graduation, I completed a rigorous 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Ft. Hood, TX, earning a master’s in oral biology in the process. While there, I received extensive instruction in all phases of general dentistry. I then spent 3 years at Ft. Eustis, VA, where I was an instructor at the Langley AFB residency, before separating from active duty and moving back to MN. Not quite done with the service, I joined the MN Army National Guard for 2 years. I now teach part-time at the U of M.
While I am proud to be a veteran and also a teacher, I’m also proud to be one of the few dentists to be both a diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry and a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry.
I now live in Plymouth with my wife and young daughter. Outside of the office, you can catch me enjoying the outdoors with my family and trying new restaurants with friends.

As the newest doctor at Forestview Family Dentistry, I strive to continue the great tradition of high-quality dental care combined with an exceptional patient experience that has made our practice stand out. I believe that patients should not only receive treatment for ongoing oral health problems while at our office, but also be educated in proper home care to best avoid future issues. My commitment to evidenced-based dentistry and modern clinical techniques matches the core values of Forestview, and I am very excited to join the team.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and a graduate of both Dartmouth College and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Prior to joining the field of dentistry, I was fortunate enough to have a career as a professional hockey player. I currently serve as the Dental Health Care Advisor for the National Hockey League Alumni Association (NHLAA). While I am proud of my unconventional journey into dentistry, my greatest accomplishment thus far is my family. Outside of the office, you will find me either chasing my kids around, visiting with family and friends, or traveling to all parts of the world.
